Finding a way around the C&O washout

Ridiculous thunderstorms late spring 2018 tore out an entire culvert near Brunswick, MD, cutting off the C&O towpath. Images were grim and a lot of bike tours were in danger of being scuttled due to bad road detour options. But is there a way to get around the Culvert 82 washout? Yes. Yes, there is... It appears the work-around is being done by the Park Service. I *do not* advocate law breaking, trespassing or anything of the sort. Also, be careful - bypassing this wash out is on you, at your own risk. Also... *don't* use the train tracks. They're busy... they're dangerous... and they're patrolled regularly, because of the first two!

Beautiful Bike Tour in Montreal, Canada // HI Montreal // GoPro

I did a beautiful bike tour in Montreal, Canada thanks to HI Montreal hostel for putting it together. It was really lovely biking in Montreal and getting to see the city in ways I wouldn't have been able to otherwise. Most of this video was shot with my GoPro because I didn't feel safe bicycling and holding my camera. ► Be a featured explorer: ► Get me a tea or a snack: ► Live a life of freedom & SUBSCRIBE: ▼◦▼ CLICK SHOW MORE FOR SOMETHING AMAZING ▼◦▼ Click the BELL when you subscribe to be in the notification squad! Bike Touring the GAP Trail and C&O Canal Towpath

In May of 2018, my buddy and I rode from Connellsville, PA to Harper's Ferry, WV on the GAP Trail and C&O Canal Towpath. We bicycle toured for 5 days and were planning on riding into DC but had to cut our trip early due to weather (parts of the C&O were flooded by the Potomac River). We camped along the way but due to the terrible weather ended up staying in hotels more than we would have preferred. Overall the trip was a blast. Specifically, the GAP was amazing and I would definitely recommend it. I don't think I would ride the C&O again because we heard it was muddy even when it wasn't raining so terribly. A cold spell hit hard recently, killing hundreds of mountain people who didn't have the resources to keep warm. I was one of the lucky ones up around 5000M in a remote part of the country. This video is the documentation of my ride from La Paz, Bolivia to somewhere deep in the mountains of Peru. Enjoy!
