Kovalam Beach Hotel | Turtle on the Beach | Travel & Food With Jaunt Monkey

Kovalam is one of the most popular destination in Kerala. Since early 20th century this beach resort has gained a lot of popularity among the local travellers and international tourists. 5 Amazing things to do in Kovalam: https://youtu.be/8jBIv9P2luc Please do subscribe to Jaunt Monkey: https://goo.gl/4HZaUq Follow us on Instagram: https://instagram.com/jauntmonkeytv/ Facebook: https://facebook.com/jauntmonkeytv/ Blog: https://jauntmonkey.com Turtle on the Beach is an exotic resort that stays on the rim of Kovalam Beach overlooking the Lighthouse beach and the Hawa beach of Kovalam. This Kovalam beach hotel is among the luxurious hotels that we can choose from a wide range of accommodation alternatives in this exotic beach destination. What I liked most about Turtle on the Beach is it's swimming pools that has a backdrop of Arabian Sea. While the entire hotel has the charm of a luxury village, the Sky View Suite is the ultimate. However, while selecting this hotel in Kovalam as your preferred stay do not forget that it is a five star category hotel. Orissa Food Tour: Cuttack Food Video Part 1 | NH 16 Dhaba Mutton and Rice to Cuttack Lassi

Food Findo (Rohit Srivastava): https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCHTkF3-9X-26ABr2KU-e5eg Orissa is the old name. It is now Odisha. Orissa or Odisha is a wonderful eastern India destination that is not yet explored well. However in this video we are enjoying a few food varieties of Cuttack. That day we started off by enjoying Nana Dhaba's Mutton Curry Meals and then continued to Pahala for Rasagulla and Chana Podo, and finally concluded the day food with Cuttack special lassi. Please do subscribe to Jaunt Monkey: https://goo.gl/4HZaUq Follow us on Instagram: https://instagram.com/jauntmonkeytv/ Facebook: https://facebook.com/jauntmonkeytv/ Blog: https://jauntmonkey.com Orissa roadside food and Orissa street food varieties are the ones that we are trying here. Nana's Dhaba is something that Rohit Srivastava suggested me to try first. There we enjoyed a complete meal with Mutton curry. After the mutton rice meal, we continued on the NH 16 (National Highway 16) to Pahala for tasting Orissa's special rasagulla. Pahala is the home for Orissa rasagullas which are slightly different from the rasagullas from West Bengal. Here the rasagullas are much softer and has a peach colour. After rasagullas it was the turn for chana podo. Chana podos are made from paneer (cottage cheese) some of them are baked while some others are steamed. Ether the way it is a wonderful sweet dish that we can try after a meal. Cuttack also has a unique variety of lassi which is made with curd, crushed ice, condensed milk, and many more ingredients. Watch this video for enjoying our Cuttack Food Video Part 1. We have more to explore in Orissa and those videos will come as the part of Orissa food tour. We started off from Trivandrum early in the morning. We wanted to cover the entire coastal route until Rameswaram through Kanyakumari.

We had our breakfast at Vijilesh's home with Idly Sambar and chutneys. We though travelled through Kanyakumari, we did not shoot any videos there as we had already done a detailed video about Kanyakumari during our Nagaland Trip.

We crossed Kanyakumari by around 10:30 in the morning and drove through the plain lands of Tamil Nadu. It was hot and there were plenty of windmills and chimneys. Then came the distant view of western ghats. On our way we stopped for tender coconut and then stopped at the salt fields of Vaippar in Tamil Nadu. We continued and cruised through the palm fields until Keezhe Shanmughapuram for Palm Wine. After almost 8 hours of road trip, we reached Mandapam (on this side of Pamban Bridge in Rameswaram). We had prebooked our accommodation at Cabana Coral Reef Resort.
Cabana Coral Reef Resort was on the shores of Bay of Bengal. On that side of the sea it was so pristine and calm. Distance from Mandapam to Rameswaram is just under 35 kilometers. The stay in Cabana resort was a unique experience for me - a container accommodation. At a price of Rs. 5000 they offered accommodation for two + 3 times food for us + 2 water sports (Snorkeling and Kayaking).
Until my stay in Cabana Coral Reef Resort I never knew that Rameswaram has such a wonderful opportunity for watersports. In fact I never searched for Snorkeling in Rameswaram or Kayaking in Rameswaram.
We stayed in the resort and enjoyed the food - Idiyappam and Prawns Masla (String Hopper and Prawns Masala). They also served us Coconut milk for idiyappam. Next day morning we went for exploring Rameswaram and Dhanushkodi. We will have a video about Dhanushkodi in the coming week.
