Magic of the Mountains - The Secrets of Nature

This is the story of a land, where forces of nature are at play – beyond all things that a human can ever dominate or be able to conquer. The birth of Tyrol was one of collisions, where previous far apart continents were conjoined, wedged together and piled up on top of each other. The result is a steep world of diversity on the smallest area: depending on the depth of a valley or the height of a mountain ridge, depending on its direction and position at the edge or in the middle of the Alps, depending on whether its slope is steep or flat, there is a spot in Tyrol that is icy or mild, lush or paltry, dry or full of water. This film presents the fascinating world of the high mountains with all their diverse flora and fauna and the living conditions throughout the seasons.

Drove the beautiful drive stoping at the top sights along the way from Jasper, to Lake Louise, Moraine Lake, and to the town of Banff in Banff National Park. The drive was very long, but with so many sights along the way including: Athabasca Waterfall, Athabasca Glacier, Lake Louise, The Tea House, Moraine Lake, Johnston Canyon, Surprise Corner, Banff Upper Hot Springs, Radium Hot Springs Pools and drone shots over Canmore. We were in Jasper in Banff National Park for 4 days. Great website to plan your trip: Route of our trip: TOP TRAVEL TIPS: ***Your trip will probably be cheaper with the CANADIAN NATION PARK PASSES purchased online: http://www.commandesparcs- *Get to the Moraine Lake parking lot by 7:00 am!! The lot was completely full by 7:20 am, and you then have to take a shuttle in. *The best view and most photographic spot of Moraine Lake is from the top of the rock pile, right next to the parking lot. *The hike to the Tea House above Lake Louise is steep and somewhat of a strenuous hike, so be prepared with shoes, water, and snacks! *The Tea House of course only takes cash, so be prepared there too! *Hotels are very expensive, so book early, and keep checking for better options. *I highly recommend staying in Canmore. It's more laid back, doesn't have huge waits at restaurants, and is much more affordable than Banff. *We skipped the Banff Gondola because of the excessive price tag ($62 each) *We also skipped canoeing on Lake Louise as it was $105 an hour. The contiguous national parks of Banff, Jasper, Kootenay and Yoho, as well as the Mount Robson, Mount Assiniboine and Hamber provincial parks, studded with mountain peaks, glaciers, lakes, waterfalls, canyons and limestone caves, form a striking mountain landscape. The Burgess Shale fossil site, well known for its fossil remains of soft-bodied marine animals, is also found there.
