Planning on traveling to New Zealand? Or curious about what it's like in New Zealand? This video series is for you! The first New Zealand travel FAQ will cover the questions: What is the weather like in New Zealand? - Firstly, the seasons are opposite to the Northern Hemisphere. When it's summer in North America, Europe, and Asia, it's winter in New Zealand, and vice versa. - Secondly, the weather is not the same throughout the country. The North Island tends to be about 5-10 degrees warmer than the South Island. The weather is also extremely variable, so pack layers, because it may be sunny, rainy, windy in the same day. - And lastly, the sun in New Zealand is HARSH. Because the layer of ozone above New Zealand is thinner than in other places in the world, the UV rays are intense. Wear your sunscreen! Which is better? New Zealand's North Island or South Island? If you are planning a trip to New Zealand, and only have about a week, you’re best off choosing one island. Choosing to visit both will result in you constantly rushing from one place to the next, and consequently not enjoying your adventure. Both Islands are incredible so you're bound to have a good time regardless of which you choose. Here I talk you through the differences between the two, and this should help you determine which is best for your trip in NZ. Plan and book your trip to New Zealand on Planit NZ - www.planitnz.com. Video might be a little borring. These are some views from the road in New Zealand. Might give some impression if you are going to take bus ride in this country. Trip from Auckland to Wellington is a very long journey across almost all North Island. All people use air travel because of extreme distances. As you can see there are very very few houses a long the way. It was middle of winter, so there was some frost in forest and mountains got snow caps. You can also see road around lake Taupo and desert road.
Some photos of winter in New Zealand's North Island, in June. These wonderful places are all within 1.5 hours of home.
