This is my first travel made video. 240GB of photography and videography in 14 days, just in one of the most natural beautiful places in the world - New Zealand. Part 1 of the video was filmed in the North Island and part of South Island (Canterbury - Christchurch). I hope that my travel video has provided you an insight on what to expect when you next travel to the land of the kiwi (p.s although I personally did not visit any kiwi attraction nor saw any kiwi during my stay there). Visited date: 22 Jun 2012 to 7 July 2012. This video was filmed using a combination of iPhone 4S and Canon 5d Mk 2 with 16-35mm and 24-70mm. No Steady Cam but tripod was used intensively though out the filming. Video editing was done using Final Cut Pro X. Compression to YouTube was done using Compressor 3 which took about 4 hours of transcoding. Catch what the south island has to offer in Part 2.
Which is better? New Zealand's North Island or South Island? If you are planning a trip to New Zealand, and only have about a week, you’re best off choosing one island. Choosing to visit both will result in you constantly rushing from one place to the next, and consequently not enjoying your adventure. Both Islands are incredible so you're bound to have a good time regardless of which you choose. Here I talk you through the differences between the two, and this should help you determine which is best for your trip in NZ. Plan and book your trip to New Zealand on Planit NZ - www.planitnz.com. Video might be a little borring. These are some views from the road in New Zealand. Might give some impression if you are going to take bus ride in this country. Trip from Auckland to Wellington is a very long journey across almost all North Island. All people use air travel because of extreme distances. As you can see there are very very few houses a long the way. It was middle of winter, so there was some frost in forest and mountains got snow caps. You can also see road around lake Taupo and desert road.
This is the first chapter of Sakaw Travelling's adventure in New Zealand. In this video, We roamed all around North Island in just 3 days. We're roadtripping from Auckland, Matamata, Rotorua, Taupo, Waitomo, and Coromandel Peninsula. Yes, it's possible. Well, if it were up to us, we wouldn't mind staying there for a month or two. But in Indonesia the maximum amount of office leaves we get is just 12 days for a year. So yeah, this is the best we can get. Stay tuned for the second chapter, the astonishing south island of New Zealand. :) Oh yeah, feel free to follow our instagram @sakawtravelling or https://www.instagram.com/sakawtravelling. Cheers guys.
