I used some 5/8" Birch presswood, and steel pipes to build a custom Walk-In Closet for my master bedroom. There are 3 main units. The 2 outer units are made up of 12" by 12" compartments, while the middle unit has drawers. The drawers in the middle unit have compartments for belts, neck ties and sunglasses.

FAQ's about this build:
How long did it take? I spent a total of four months building built-in cabinets for my master closet. I had just moved into this house and was working on a lot of other projects at the same time.
Why MDF on one side and plywood on the other? I used MDF initially but the cabinets were so large and heavy, it was difficult for me to install them. I switched to plywood which is much lighter.
What paint did you use? I painted the wardrobes with Sherwin-Williams Pro-Classic paint. Custom color.
