The Nepali Village life Vlogs are a set of video vlogs about my personal trip, that took me back to my ancestral village 'Mulabari' in Tanahun district, Nepal (back in September 2012). Watch me attempting different daily village life chores to the best of my ability during my stay at the village. My 7 day village life experience was a very unique exploration which will stay with me forever. I am sharing these videos so I can personally look back at my journey and I also hope the viewers can learn a little about the way of life in the villages in Nepal. My village wasn't as I expected it to be. It wasn't as rural as I had thought, we had access to electricity and even 3G thanks to Ncell. Mulabari is a small village consisting of 18 houses and we are all kind of related because all the villagers including my family share the same ancestors. Please feel free to watch the videos, like it, share it and leave your thoughts and experiences. Kathmandu City Guide | Nepal Travel Series Transcript: Well good morning. It is our first full day in Kathmandu (काठमाडौं). We are up bright and early. Sometimes it’s nice to be surprised by a destination, so we arrived in Kathmandu (काठमाडौं) without a whole lot of prior research. We knew we wanted to see the temples and palaces around Durbar Square (Basantapur Darbar Kshetra), but that was about it. We were up early, but Kathmandu (काठमाडौं) was buzzing. Scooters were racing to work, vendors were setting up their fresh produce, and construction work was underway. Alright, so next up we are in Indrachok (इन्द्रचोक) It is a market area and yeah very lively. We're at the Garden of Dreams. Garden of Dreams (स्वप्न बगैंचा) and there is a beautiful little cafe & restaurant here. So we're just relaxing. These gardens are partly funded by the Austrian government. It is momo (饃饃) time. So we ordered vegetable momo today. It is day 2 in Kathmandu (काठमाडौं) and today's excursion is to the Monkey Temple. The name is Swayambhunath (स्वयम्भू स्तूप). We just finished visiting the Monkey Temple. We're riding a taxi to visit Pashupatinath Temple (पशुपतिनाथ मन्दिर) which is one of the more popular ones here in Kathmandu (काठमाडौं). This next temple is a sacred Hindu site (पशुपतिनाथ मन्दिर) where many believers choose to be cremated. According to the Nepalese Hindu tradition, the body must be dipped three times into the Bagmati River in order to break the reincarnation cycle. So today is our last day in Kathmandu (काठमाडौं) and we've been staying in the neighborhood of Thamel. It is kind of like the touristy area. They have a lot of shops where you can pick-up souvenirs and like little trinkets to take back home. So we're going to do a bit of shopping. Today we are having Dal Bhat (दालभात). We've been eating Dal Bhat (ডাল ভাত) very very often. So much so Sam has declared it his favorite dish. Lastly in Kathmandu (काठमाडौं), we went in search of a rooftop terrace to enjoy a drink & watch the sunset with colourful prayer flags blowing in the wind. This is part of our Travel in Nepal video series showcasing Nepali food, Nepali culture and Nepali cuisine. Music in this video courtesy of Far Away - MK2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Krw642HTCgw

***before you write comment to complain or to correct, read below first*** Edit Aug 11, 2013: Frequently Asked Questions: Q) DId you know Colombia was mispelled, gringo tonto?!! A) I realised that, pardon. Q) If you were to redo you list, are there any places you would have added. A) Palawan in Phillipines, The Faroe Islands, Zhangye Danxia in China (google this). I knew about these places, but realized over time that they should be ranked higher. Q) You realize you left out Machu Picchu? A) Over-rated! Over-rated! just kidding, it's not made by Mother Nature. Q) Why isnt Greece/Nepal in your video. Me and my countrymen will harass you untill you add our beloved countries. A) I noticed there are a lot of people from these two countries patrolling youtube and flaming any videos that left out their country. Greece and Nepal are beautiful countries with rich history. Places like Meteora/Santorini or Taktsang/Bhaktapur are breathtaking. However, these places are man made and do not belong in my video! However, I generously have Greek Coast at #37 and Southern Himalayas at #48. I have respect for your countries, so please don't harass me. Q). You seemed to be biased toward China! *points fingers at me* A). On one hand, if I were to redo the list, I probably would have left off Huangshan. On the other hand, despite what's in the video, I have left out more worthwhile places in China than any other country. Just google "China Danxia" (6 unique areas of scenery throughout China group together as one unesco heritage site), "yunnan Province Scenery/stone forest", Guizhou Province, "longhu mountain", etc etc,. Q) What is song #12 and #15 A) Run by Snow Patrol and Resistance by Muse Q) Can we have a list of all the songs? A) No I'm too lazy. But 10 of the 25 songs are by the Cure, greatest band in History. Q) Where is Angel Falls, Bora Bora, Grand Canyon, Milford Sound, Halong Bay? A) They are covered in the video under other names, look again... Q) Where is Serengeti, Galapagos, Redwoods, Sequoia, Socotra?!? A) This videos looks at natural art with a geological canvas. Plants and animals will not be a main factor. Q) Palau is not in Indonesia, you moron! A) I didnt say it is. #18 is the island landscape that covers parts Palau and parts of Indonesia. Q) It seems like that you group different countries or national parks together. A) This is a video of Nature's work. It's humans that drew a line between USA/Canada or Brazil/Argentina. It's humans that defined Grand Canyon vs Zion National Park and Yellowstone vs Grand Teton. I tried to group and name the places from natural or geological perspective. ------------------------ Original Description ------------------------ Mother Nature is the greatest artist. Here are her top 25 greatest works of art. I've spend over 100hours in researching and creating this.. I tried my best to be unbias but I think the pictures speak for themselves. Thanks for watching and hope you enjoyed it.
